Brakes are safety-relevant components of a vehicle. They must work reliably in all sorts of different conditions (heat, cold and wet). As well as these technical aspects, comfort and the environment also play a large role. This has led to demands increasing in recent years and has in turn resulted in brakes and brake pads becoming highly complex. Brake pads consist of a variety of functional raw materials and our fibres fulfil a wide variety of tasks. Essentially, they ensure that the manufacturing process runs smoothly and that the vehicle is braked quickly, safely and quietly.
